Overview
Maritime decarbonization is the process of reducing GreenHouse Gases (GHG) emissions from the global maritime sector, with an overall goal of placing the sector on a pathway that limits global temperature rise to 1.5-degrees Celsius.
In simple words, a bunch of new legal instruments in place, bring into implementation certain measures and requirements, regarding Energy Efficiency and GHG Emissions, deriving from operation of seagoing vessels. These requirements will have not only an operational but also an economic impact on shipping business.
